GO FUND ME CAMPAIGN
The FGDA Covid Relief Fundraiser campaign was initiated and created by members of the Boston Tango community on behalf of FGDA.
First, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your help with the GoFundMe campaign that began over the summer. It is solely because of your support that we reached our goal, allowing Fernanda and Mia to keep the studio open and running. From the depths of our hearts, THANK YOU.
The Academy instituted many changes to adjust to the brutal pandemic (and year!), offering smaller group classes and online private sessions. For those who managed to participate in person and through zoom, thank you. For all who could not continue to study, we are especially grateful for your ongoing support. Now that the vaccines are rolling out, we anticipate moving toward a "new normal." Studio safety, aiming at the continued health of all our dancers will remain paramount. It is our hope that by late spring or early summer, we will gather as one large community to celebrate the beginning of a new era.
We are looking forward to new beginnings, and in the meantime, Fernanda and Mia continue to work heroically to keep the Academy afloat. Once again, they are in dire financial straits. The bills keep pouring in and the ongoing loss of revenue takes its toll. To cover rent and electricity through the spring, we need to make one last effort.
Our goal? To raise $16,000 in the next 4 weeks.
To survive, The Fernanda Ghi Dance Academy needs our help. Let's do it again! We are part of an extraordinary community. For each of us, dance remains at the center of our lives. We are almost there - weekend practica, monthly milonga, music, wine, tango, close embrace, connection, and so much more... Until then, we invite you to give whatever you can. No donation is too small.
With much Gratitude,
FGDA Community Fund Raiser Group
