
FERNANDA GHI FOUNDER + TANGO INSTRUCTOR
Fernanda Ghi is a true legend in the world of Argentine tango. Celebrated for her elegant style, unique interpretation, creative choreography and powerful command of the stage, she has toured internationally for over two decades.
Ghi performed in countless shows and exhibitions, and became the World Argentine Tango Champion IDO in 1999. Ghi and and her partner were the first non-Asians ever invited to perform at the Imperial Theater in Tokyo and were the feature dancers on the PBS special ‘Tango Magic’ with Pablo Ziegler and the Orpheus Orchestra.
Ghi has performed in concert with several Symphony Orchestras (New Mexico, Long Beach, Costa Mesa) and was commissioned the creation of a tango ballet for the Tulsa Ballet Dance Company.
In 2017 and 2018, Ghi served as a judge at the ‘Tango Mundial,’ the World Competition for Argentine Tango. Ghi is the founder of the Fernanda Ghi Dance Company which creates a fusion between Argentine Tango and other art forms, such a theater, visual arts, opera and other styles of dance. The company houses the Fernanda Ghi Dance Academy, a school that trains amateur and professional dancers. Both are based out of Boston, MA.

MIA DALGLISH EXECTUTIVE DIRECTOR + TANGO INSTRUCTOR
Mia Dalglish has spent her career in both the performing and visual arts worlds. Dalglish has trained with Fernanda Ghi as a dancer and instructor since 2010. She was a manager and instructor at the tango academy, Artango Dance School for 7 years. From 2015 - 2022, Dalglish was a Co-Creative Director at Hybridmotion, a dance theater and movement consulting company that she Co-Founded. Since 2010, Dalglish has served as Photographic Curator for Pictura, a renowned fine art gallery that specializes in contemporary photography. She is a portfolio reviewer for national and international photography conferences and serves as a judge for international photography competitions. Dalglish's unusual combination of movement and visual arts expertise result in unique offering of skills and perspectives. |
JUN KURIBAYASHI BODY WORK THERAPIST + MODERN / ACRO INSTRUCTOR
Jun Kuribayashi has been a mover all of his life. He began as a competitive swimmer, breakdancer, and martial artist. He took his first dance class at age 22 at the University of Kansas where he earned his BFA in Dance. The year he graduated, he premiered professionally with Momix. In 2004 he joined Pilobolus Dance Theater and toured all over the globe as a dancer, Dance Captain and eventually an Artistic Associate until late 2015. Dance Magazine listed him alongside Misty Copeland and Ethan Stiefel as one of the best performers of the year. Kuribayashi's work as a performer, choreographer and movement consultant span a wide variety of mediums. Among others, he has collaborated with illusionists Penn + Teller, illustrator Art Spiegelman, juggler Michael Moschen, choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, movie director Trish Sie and Grammy award recipient OK Go. Kuribayashi is the Founder and Artistic Director of his own dance theater and movement consulting company, Hybridmotion. The work of Hybridmotion has been featured on the national and international stage and in film. Kuribayashi is currently based out of Boston, MA where he lives with his wife and two feisty wiener dogs. |
