PRACTICAS
What is a Practica? A Practica is an open time for students to come to the studio and meet other to practice. Some people come with partners, and some come without. Tango music will be played the whole time, and leaders and followers can ask each other to dance. At FGDA, there will always be an instructor present, but not to worry... instructors will not walk around the room and point out your mistakes, but they are available to answer questions, if you have them.
TANGUEANDO PRACTICA
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Saturdays 3-6p (Please check calendar- sometimes if we have an event the night before, or the practica falls on a holiday, then the practica may be cancelled). Level: All levels Prerequisite: None! Open to Public This is a time for dancers of all levels to come together and practice materials from classes. Price: $10, drop-ins encouraged |
MILONGAS
What is Milonga? A Milonga is a social event where Argentine Tango is danced and tends to be more formal. Usually men wear nice slacks and dress shirts or suits. Women tend to wear nice skirts, slacks, blouses and dresses. (Jeans and shorts are not considered appropriate attire.) Some dancers come with partners, and some come on their own.
