Course Description: This course focuses on individual drills and exercises for both leaders and followers. The purpose of this class is to get centered and confident in your technique as an individual. Dancers who are stable in their own mechanics are able to advance much more quickly when working with a partner. In this class we will work on balance, pivoting, axis, upper and lower body disassociation. 

What to Wear / Bring:

• ​Comfortable clothes that you can move in 

• Flat practice shoes

• Important: Due the amount of pivoting in this class, students need to wear shoes designed for dance (dance sneakers, jazz shoes, and ballet flats, etc.) or shoes that have leather or suede soles. Repeated pivoting in regular sneakers, or shoes with rubber and plastic soles can lead to knee injuries.

PAYMENT // Cancellation + Purchasing Policy for Group Lessons:

• ​Full payment is due on the first day of each series. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable to future sessions.

 

• To get the discounted series price, you must register for the full series. Otherwise the drop in rate will be charged per session. Refunds and / or class credit will not be issued for absences that are not planned by the first day of the series. ​

• Your spot is reserved especially for you, so these classes are not transferable to another person (unless prior consent is given from Instructor)​

• If you are unable to complete the class due to an illness, injury or any other circumstance you must notify your instructor to let them know you will be absent. Your instructor will let you know if there is a makeup class that you can attend at another time during the week.
